COVID-19: We'll Get Through This Together

We hope you are well and continue to be healthy as we get move through the COVID-19 virus situation.
 

First, we want you to know that your Association Staff will continue to provide the necessary services you need.  We are concerned about your safety and that of our Staff.   For immediate future we are asking for your cooperation.  We are implementing the following practices until April 15 and at that time we will re-evaluate the situation:

  • Your MLS Service will continue to operate as usual.
  • All Association services will be available to you via email and telephone.
  • All in-person meetings have been cancelled through April 30. This includes education and new member Orientation. 
  • If you need sign riders, lock boxes, SUPRA Keys, or any similar products that we sell, please call the office at 321-242-2211 and we will gather your supplies, bill your membership account and place your items in the lobby for pick up. This is our version of Association Drive Through Services.  J Just drive though the portico while you pick up your supplies. 
  • We have turned off the FLEX MLS Open House feature. The United States Surgeon General is recommending that during this unusual time that all open houses strictly follow the COVID-19 social distancing guidelines.  There are other options for you to continue to your sellers so that you can continue to market your properties during this difficult period. 

 

The Board of Directors met last week and approved several changes to the MLS Rules, including the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® mandatory clear cooperation policy.  This is a good opportunity to make yourself familiar with the new rules.   https://members.spacecoastmls.com/mls-resources/clear-cooperation


For those members that have purchased the 2020 Education Passport, which offers discounted pricing on most of our education offerings, those passports will be honored through December 2021.  We apologize for having to cancel in-person educational offerings during this time, but we do have a library of training webinars available to you through our website.  We look forward to reinstating our in-person training as soon as it is safe to resume normal activities. 
 

Your Association staff is having to adjust our normal work environment, just as you are.  It looks like it will be “Business as Possible” for the next 30-60 days. 



Updated: 3/18/2020 - Notice to Membership in Class Attendance
We are asking members if they have been at the Association office within the past 30 days and test positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19) to please notify us via phone or email so we can alert members who were in your class, meeting, or function. Your Identity will remain confidential. We will not disclose your name. We only want to be proactive to alert members that they may have been exposed.

Updated: 3/16/2020 - Navigating through Covid-19 – Until March 31st   
Our Staff and the Board of Directors hope that you and your family are safe and well amid growing concerns regarding the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).  During this time, we believe it is our role and responsibility to prioritize the health of our members and of our staff. As our member, your Association experience may look a little different as we navigate through this time together.

To ensure the priority of your health and minimizing exposure, we are eliminating as many in-person meetings as we can including classes, and events at least through the end of the March. If you have a committee meeting and there is pressing business that meeting will be moved to a virtual meeting utilizing zoom.

Commitment to cleanliness We have increased our sanitation process and are taking precautions to ensure a clean and safe environment.

Visit The Centers for Disease Control website for more information on the Coronavirus, including what you should know about symptoms, treatments, testing, and other frequently asked questions.

Governor extends license renew period:  Florida REALTORS has advised the Governor has announced suspension of renewal requirements-we are waiting for final written order, but he just confirmed during a press conference a 30-day extension.  If you still need CE Credit our recommendation is that you consider taking the correspondence or online class. 

Office open for business:  Unless notified otherwise, we will continue to have employees at the association office.  To limit exposure to you and our staff we are limiting some of our services. 

  •  Store purchases: If you have a specific need, please phone ahead and we will bundle your order, bill your membership account and place your items in our entrance lobby for your pick-up.  You are still welcome to come in and shop, but we encourage you to plan ahead to limit your exposure and that of our Staff. 
  •  New Member Applications: Have new members complete the application process online:  https://www.spacecoastmls.com/membership/association-member-application through the web and email it to:  membership@space321.com
  •  New Member SUPRA E-Keys:Once we have received and processed the new member application, they can call us and we will issue their SUPRA E-Key over the phone.

  • Lockbox Orders: You can call ahead, tell us what you need, and we will prepare the boxes and call you when they are ready to pick up.  To limit exposure, we will put the lockboxes in our entry lobby for pick-up. 

 
CE Credit Courses:  We are doing our best to continue to offer some CE Specialty Classes, to get you through this renewal cycle.  Please understand that some of our instructors have already cancelled and that could happen at the last minute, so please understand we can’t promise anything.

Education Classes:  We are temporarily cancelling all non-essential educational classes.  We apologize for this inconvenience, but your well being is much more important. 
 

Committee Meetings  We have asked our Committee Chairs to consider postponing committee meetings at this time.  If there is pressing business, we are suggesting that these meetings be held online.  Our staff is ready to assist with implementing these meetings.  We realize that face-to-face meetings are the most interesting and allows for better debate of issues, so at this time, only the most critical meetings will be held in person. 
 

We are here to support you and you real estate needs.  We are looking forward to moving back to a “business as usual” environment as quickly as we can.  Feel free to call us with any questions you might have.  We are here, you are welcome to come in we will do our best to stay open for business.  At this time, we are just trying to limit everyone exposure to the extent that we can.
