Notice of Annual Meeting, Election, and Call for Leadership Service
The Space Coast Association of REALTORS® hereby provides notice of its 2026 Annual Meeting and invites qualified members to apply for leadership positions within the Association, Foundation, and Florida REALTORS®.

Leadership service is an opportunity to help shape the future of organized real estate, support member success, advocate for private property rights, strengthen professionalism, and make a meaningful impact in our community. Members interested in serving are encouraged to review the available opportunities and submit an application for consideration.

July 15, 2026 - 9:00 am: Application deadline

August 19, 2026 - by Noon: Election ballots emailed to REALTOR members; Voting opens

September 2, 2026 - 9:00 am: Election voting closes

ANNUAL MEETING

The annual meeting of the Space Coast Association of REALTORS® will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 3:30 pm at the Association office. The election results will be announced during the Annual Meeting.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Members interested in serving must complete and submit the appropriate application no later than July 15, 2026 at 9:00 am. Applicants are required to upload a current professional headshot with their Director profile Form.

BOARD OF DIRECTOR QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates for the Space Coast Association of Realtors Board of Directors must:

Must have been a REALTOR® for the immediate three (3) preceding years.
Must have actively served on at least two (2) Committees, Task Force or Focus Groups in this Association. 
Must commit to the use of email as the primary communication tool of the Board of Directors. 
Must exhibit leadership dynamics and vision for the future of the Association. 
No former employee of the Association, or its predecessors, who was terminated for cause will be eligible for election. 
Board of Directors performance expectation: elected leaders in the Association are expected to complete At Home with Diversity (AHWD), Bias Override Training, Fairhaven, and REALTORS® Commitment to Excellence (C2EX) program by May 1 of their first year of service.

The Board of Directors consist of a total of 13 members, and all must be REALTOR® Members. Based upon the current make-up of the Board of Directors for this election, we will be electing a total of three(3) Directors, two (2) of which must be Broker/Owners, the remaining one (1) may be any licensure status.

.

The elected Directors, as are required to fill vacancies, shall be elected for three (3) years unless they are filling a vacancy created by a resignation. Elected Directors may serve no more than six (6) consecutive years, unless elected to fill unexpired terms of vacancies created by resignations. The Bylaws require that seven (7) of the 13 members of the Board of Directors must be Broker/Owners and that no more than two (2) individuals may serve, at the same time, from any one firm, regardless of locations. Additionally, no more than three (3) members from any one franchise may serve and at least two (2) members of the Board must be from non-franchised companies. The Officers of the Association shall be a President, President-Elect, Secretary and a Treasurer. The Officers are appointed from the existing directors for the ensuing year by the current Board of Directors at their first meeting immediately following the election. The Officer appointments shall be for a term of one (1) year except the President-Elect who shall automatically become President the year following their term as President-Elect and then will serve an additional year on the Board as Immediate Past President.

FLORIDA REALTORS DIRECTORS, SPACE COAST REPRESENTATIVE: APPLICATION AND APPOINTMENT PROCESS

The number of Florida REALTORS® Director positions allocated to the Space Coast Association of REALTORS® for the upcoming year will not be determined until later in the year. Members interested in representing the Association at the state level are encouraged to submit an application indicating their interest. Eligible candidates will be considered once the Association's director allocation is confirmed by Florida REALTORS®.
