New listing input fields will be available on Monday, June 23, 2025, as part of a Coast to Coast MLS Data Share update aimed at improving accuracy, clarity, and search functionality. Approved by the Coast to Coast Board of Managers, these changes apply to multiple property types and will help ensure more consistent and complete listing data across the network.
Here’s what’s changing:
Residential Lease Enhancements
Terms of Payment (Deposits and Fees):
A new Terms of Payment text field will appear when “Additional Fee” is entered, giving agents the flexibility to clarify payment terms for potential tenants.
Maximum Weight Allowed (Pets): When “Size Limit” is selected under Pets Allowed, a new Maximum Weight Allowed text box will appear—and will be required—to help renters better understand pet restrictions.
Architectural Style & Construction Materials
These updates span Residential, Residential Income, and Residential Lease property types:
New Architectural Style: Barndominium
Agents can now select Barndominium under Architectural Style to better categorize unique properties.
New Construction Material: Modular
The option for Modular construction is being added for more accurate property descriptions.
Legal Description Field Expanded
The Legal Description field is being expanded to 1024 characters.
