It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of longtime Space Coast Association of REALTORS® member, Barbara Jo Romano.
Barbara’s journey in Cocoa Beach began in 1972 when she and her family relocated from the Northeast. A dedicated entrepreneur, she balanced family life while building a successful career in real estate, ultimately opening her own brokerage. She was a mentor to many, helping shape the careers of numerous agents—including her son, Space Coast Association of REALTORS past president, Steve Romano.
Beyond real estate, Barbara was a cherished member of the Cocoa Beach business community. She found joy in spending time with her family, making her famous meatballs, and traveling the world. Known for her warmth, humor, and generosity, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
