Space Coast MLS® Tip: Active Under Contract Status and Expiration Dates:

REMINDER: When using Active Under Contract status, the Expiration Date WILL apply, so if your Listing Agreement expires while you’re in Active Under Contract Status, you will need to place it Back on the Market (extend the Expiration Date to the expected closing date; you can enter the day it expired as your Back on Market Date), then mark it back as either Active Under Contract or Pending.

Also note, listings in Active Under Contract status do not show a ‘Back on Market’ tag on the listing.

Active Under Contract = Old Back Up Status – Days on Market count continues; Can be shown; Seller is accepting back-up offers, Will switch to Expired status on Expiration Date.  **Listings cannot go from Active Under Contract status straight to Closed, you must go through Pending status first or the system will not allow the listing to go into Closed status.

Pending = Old Contingent status – Days on Market count stops; Cannot be shown, will NOT switch to Expired status on Expiration Date, will stay in Pending status.

*DOM = Days on Market
