It is with our deepest sympathy to announce that John V. Daignault left this world October 16, 2023. 2 weeks shy of his 90th birthday, after a short but fierce battle with cancer. He was a well-loved member of the Merritt Island community. 

Mr. Daignault founded Daignault Realty in 1971 which is the same year he joined Association. John lead the Organization as Past President of the Space Coast Association of REALTORS in 1999 and earned his Realtor Emeritus status after serving 52 years as a member. His volunteer leadership with the Association was instrumental in leading us to where we are today.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 65 years Patricia Daignault, parents, George and Yvonne Daignault, brother, George Daignault, and son Thomas Daignault. He is survived by sister, Georgette Daignault, sons, Greg Daignault (Gena Daignault) and Jeff Daignault (Denise Theders), daughters, Christine Daignault-Taylor (Barry Taylor) and Michelle Daignault-Ives, grandchildren, Colette Mocerino (Richard Mocerino), Cory Daignault (Amber Goodson), Bobby Ives, Heather Ives and Amber Ives, and great-grandchildren Sophia and Richard Jr. Mocerino.

John grew up on a farm in St. Albans VT, and was always proud of having served in the US Air Force... he loved sharing stories of his adventures in Morocco and Europe with his life-long friend Karl Huber. He met his wife and soulmate Pat upon his return to his home town and they started their family with 3 sons. After several years of work-related travel around the western US - more fun stories! - they settled in Merritt Island in 1966, adding 2 daughters to the family.

A funeral mass and celebration of his life will be held at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Merritt Island, FL at 11 a.m. on November 11, 2023.
