Brevard County Save Our Lagoon Citizen Oversight Committee

Volunteers Wanted

The Board of County Commissioners seeks qualified applicants for a volunteer appointment to represent Real Estate expertise on the Save Our Indian River Lagoon Citizen Oversight Committee. Applicants must commit to serving the public interest by:

Demonstrating expertise and experience in the Real Estate field.
Providing stewardship of Lagoon Trust Funds.
Having knowledge of the water quality issues and major sources of pollution affecting the lagoon.
Participating in monthly meetings Reviewing project proposals for reducing pollutants and improving water quality.
Assessing project cost-effectiveness.
Hearing questions, concerns, and ideas from the public to improve the plan.

The application must be submitted by 5:00 P.M., February 1.

Meetings are held in the County Commission Room, 1st floor, Building C , Viera Government Center, 2725 Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Viera, FL 32940 unless listed otherwise on the event calendar.

Meetings are held the third Friday of the month from 8:30 - 11:30 am unless listed otherwise.

Links for participation virtually via Zoom are posted on the event calendar the week of the meeting.
