Brevard County Save Our Lagoon Citizen Oversight Committee

Volunteers Wanted  

The Board of County Commissioners seeks qualified applicants for a volunteer appointment to represent Real Estate expertise on the Save Our Indian River Lagoon Citizen Oversight Committee. Applicants must commit to serving the public interest by:

  • Demonstrating expertise and experience in the Real Estate field.
  • Providing stewardship of Lagoon Trust Funds.
  • Having knowledge of the water quality issues and major sources of pollution affecting the lagoon.
  • Participating in monthly meetings Reviewing project proposals for reducing pollutants and improving water quality.
  • Assessing project cost-effectiveness.
  • Hearing questions, concerns, and ideas from the public to improve the plan.

The application must be submitted by 5:00 P.M., February 1.



Meetings are held in the County Commission Room, 1st floor, Building C , Viera Government Center, 2725 Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Viera, FL 32940 unless listed otherwise on the event calendar.

Meetings are held the third Friday of the month from 8:30 - 11:30 am unless listed otherwise.

Links for participation virtually via Zoom are posted on the event calendar the week of the meeting.
