Change to MLS that you need to know!

Recap of recent MLS Rule changes as approved by the Board of Directors in their September and October Board meetings. 
These revised rules are effective immediately (as of this notice):

 

Attached to this document is a copy of the rule changes identifying deleted language by striking through the deleted words and underlined words is new language added to the rules.  Click here to view the word-by-word notice of changes.  Click here to see the current MLS Rules and Regulations with these changes incorporated. 

 
For a quick recap the following is provided: 

  1. Using Another MLS Participants Photos without Permission: An immediate administrative fine of $50 per photo will be assessed for using photos of another MLS participant to market your listing without their written permission. Participant has one (1) business day to remove the photo(s). If photo(s) are not removed in one (1) business day, Space Coast MLS will remove the photo(s).
  2. Accessing a lockbox and showing instruction violations has been combined in the fine section. In addition to the fines assessed for this violation you are now required to take a 2-hour MLS Compliance Course on the MLS Rules and Regulations. Failure to complete the class within the prescribed time results in an additional fine of $1,000.
  3. Loan of Supra eKey: In addition to the fine assessed for this violation you are now required to take a 2-hour MLS Compliance Course on the MLS Rules and Regulations. Failure to complete the class within the prescribed time results in an additional fine of $1,000.
  4. MLS update to Rental Listing fields: The following will be added to the Details/Field tabs: “Paved Street” under description; “Internet” under rent includes and “Elevator Y or N” in the Main Fields as a mandatory field.
  5. MLS update to Residential Listing fields: The following will be added to the Details/Fields tabs: “Elevator” as a mandatory field; Internet check box to Details tab under HOA Incudes.
  6. RV Communities in the MLS:

Two new input/search features have been added to the MLS. A new residential sub type, RV Communities, and a separate RV Community Amenities.

All MLS Rules & Regulation changes are shown above and are effective immediately.
