Space Coast Association of REALTORS® 2024 Project Prom Event
PALM SHORES, FL, – On Saturday, March 9, 2024 the Space Coast Association of REALTORS® hosted the 2024 Project Prom community event.
At the beginning of January, the Space Coast Association of REALTORS® Community Outreach Committee initiated a heartwarming project by collecting gently used formal attire to make prom dreams come true for local students. The response from the community was overwhelming, reflecting a shared desire to ensure every student had the opportunity to experience the joy of their special dances and create unforgettable prom night memories.
The Project Prom event, held at The Space Coast Association of REALTORS® in Brevard County, Florida offered students the chance to select fashionable prom outfits for free from a wide array of options, including dresses, men's garments, shoes, accessories, ties, and belts showcased on over 25 racks and display tables. The day was not just about outfit selection; it also included lunch, refreshments, and photography to add to the students' experience.

The event was made possible by the dedication of over 40 volunteers who selflessly assisted the 400 students that participated, making it a truly memorable and successful initiative.
Our members, community donors, volunteers, and partnerships are the heroes of Project Prom. All items from dresses and suits, shoes, ties, jewelry, and accessories come from the generosity of individuals as well as local businesses. The strength of the event is found in its volunteers. From steaming hundreds of dresses and suits, setting up, tearing down and everything in between, our volunteers are what made this event shine.

Our hope is the community will continue with their remarkable support and our students will know, that their prom attire is one stressor they certainly will not have to worry about. We want them to know that they'll be able to focus on making the best memories they can while we take care of the rest. We look forward to watching this event flourish and are already looking forward to 2025 Project Prom.
