Florida voters have an opportunity this November to provide meaningful property tax relief for homeowners and greater predictability for rental and commercial property owners. Florida REALTORS® supports Amendment 3 and encourages members to vote YES in the November 3 General Election. Amendment 3 would: Increase the homestead exemption for non-school property taxes to $150,000 in 2027 and $250,000 in 2028, with annual inflation adjustments beginning in 2029. Lower the annual assessment growth cap on non-homestead properties—including rentals, second homes and commercial properties—from 10% to 5%. Protect school funding, as the ...
