It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Lee Young, father of Leah Selig, the recently retired Space Coast Association of Realtors CEO, and Brenda Spivey, the Association's Member Services Coordinator. He was also the grandfather of Samantha Selig, a Board Member of the Association's Board of Directors.
Robert passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024, in Cocoa, Florida surrounded by his family. He was born on July 30, 1930, to Clay and Becky Young and was a US Air Force Veteran.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, son Robert Chief Young, and brothers Encil Young, Vanis Young, and William Whitey Young.
Robert is survived by his wife, Dorothy Young, his daughters Leah Selig, Sharon Wagner, Karla Stevanus, Brenda Sisco, Phyllis Heady, son Dennis Colonel White, and brother Gerald Young, as well as his beautiful grandchildren.
Robert was a beloved member of our community and will be missed dearly. We extend our deepest sympathies to Robert's family and loved ones during this difficult time.
