The scammers are always at it.... this is a reminder to stay vigilant and aware of the scams happening every day.If you receive an email or text from "someone you know" asking you to purchase gift cards, send money, etc., call the person with the phone number you have on file for them and verify prior to acting.
As a reminder, the Association will never ask for cash advances, gift cards to be purchased, wire transfers, or anything else that may seem out of character.
Stay Safe from Phishing:
- Verify Links before clicking anything
- Call the company/person to confirm message
- Keep computer software & apps updated
- Monitor credit reports regularly
