Instructor:

Katherine Sakkis, In 1979, Katherine moved to Tampa and became the first woman stockbroker in the city. Recognizing the importance of a supportive network for professional women, she founded the Tampa Bay Professional Women's Association, the inaugural women's networking organization in the downtown area. The association provided a platform for women to connect, collaborate, and thrive in their respective fields.

Throughout her career, Katherine prioritized collaboration and education. She continuously sought opportunities to expand her knowledge and earned various industry designations and certifications, including the esteemed Certified Residential Specialist title, which is awarded to the top 3% of agents nationwide. Demonstrating her commitment to sharing her expertise, she mentored numerous agents and taught classes at various brokerages, leveraging her personal experiences to provide practical insights.

Katherine adeptly navigated market fluctuations by drawing on her financial background. During the last market crash, she swiftly transitioned into a short sale expert and REO agent for Bank of America. Additionally, she harnessed her financial expertise to build and lead successful teams, ensuring the prosperity of others.

Passionate about collaboration and professional growth, Katherine actively serves as the Vice-Chair of Education for Women's Council Florida and as a Director on the Florida Realtors® board. She has also held roles such as District Vice President for Women's Council Florida, President of the 2020-2021 Women's Council of Realtors® Tampa chapter, and Vice-President of Florida RRC (CRS).
