Day 1 May 2, 2023: The Resource-Efficient Home: Remodels, Retrofits, Renovations, and New-Home Construction
You'll learn the distinguishing characteristics that make a home resource thrifty. Find out why consumer demand for these homes is increasing and how both the homes and consumer expectations impact the market. This will prepare you to provide advice and sources of information to help homeowners improve the resource efficiency of their homes from low-cost fixes and DIY projects, to retrofitting and replacing systems, to big-budget remodeling projects. You'll also learn about constructing a new, resource-efficient home and the value that you can bring to the design/build team.
Day 2 - May 3, 2023: Representing Buyers and Sellers of the Resource-Efficient Home
This part will focus on applying the knowledge of resource-efficient, smart, and certified homes gained in the first day, and adapting core real estate skills to build business success in the niche market for resource-efficient homes.

Instructor
Kelly Lee McFrederick is a native of Clearwater Beach and graduate of the University of Florida. She is an avid tennis player, golfer, and has spent a lifetime boating on Florida waterways. She grew up on the water, and in 2021 purchased a waterfront historic home with every challenge.
Kelly Lee began her real estate journey in 2003, working as an Accredited Staging Professional Master with “Stagedhomes.com.” She later became a trainer and speaker in the Florida marketplace, introducing Home Staging to a growing market of Realtors® and sellers. Kelly Lee acquired her Real Estate Broker and Real Estate Instructor licenses in 2004 and 2006 respectively.
Florida licensees will earn 8 hours of Specialty CE Credit upon successful course completion. All REALTOR® attendees will receive credit towards NAR's GREEN Designation.
