At the end of this course, the student will be able to:
· Explain to their customer how aluminum wiring can affect their homeowners insurance rates.
· Explain the importance of a proper electric panel to the potential home buyer.
· Explain benefits of the concrete block frame vs. the wood frame.
· Describe various types of shingles and the benefit to the homeowner of each.
· Explain to the home buyer the role of wind mitigation on a property.
· List tasks and repairs a homeowner can do to minimize insurance claims.
· Describe to a home buyer a typical homeowner’s policy and the major elements covered.
