At the end of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Explain to their customer how FEMA defines a ‘flood.’
2. Describe which flood zones require flood insurance by the lender.
3. Explain the maximum coverage limits in Florida for residential buildings as well as commercial buildings.
4. List the two main programs and describe each to their customer.
5. Explain the importance of venting in a home that is in a hazardous flood zone.
6. Review and explain the information on an elevation certificate.
7. Explain steps a customer can take if their home is relocated into a hazardous Flood Zone.
8. Explain steps a customer can take if they are selling or buying a home in a special flood zone.
