On Wednesday, July 21st Space Coast Association of Realtors® hosted a membership meeting which included training on Fair Housing for all, the program was titled “No Longer *Just* a Realtor®”. Guest speaker Leigh Brown did a phenomenal job presenting a true picture of what Fair Housing for All means and the duty Realtors® have to the public and to each other in providing equal housing opportunities to everyone.
One statement that Leigh made that really stood out was “it’s about the bigger picture, you may be receiving leads, but don’t think of them as leads, don’t call them leads, call them neighbors”.

During the presentation Leigh talked about a couple of documents that she uses, they are linked below. Prior to addressing the intake sheets with customers, she said she always starts with “May I as you a few questions” and then proceeds with the sheets.

Another hot topic during the presentation was Buyer Love Letters, a statement that Leigh uses in the MLS Agent remarks is the following
Buyer letters to Sellers NOT accepted and will not be presented with any offer. Please do NOT include.
She goes on to state “if a buyer client insists on drafting a love letter, don’t help them write it and encourage them to keep all protected classes out of the wording”. *Find alternates, such as a lender love letter or a buyer agent letter..
